Hands-Free Pomodoros

Ever heard of the pomodoro technique? It’s wicked easy. Here’s what you do.

  • Work for 25 minutes
  • Take a break for 5 minutes
  • Work for 25 minutes
  • Take a break for 5 minutes
  • Work for 25 minutes
  • Take a break for 5 minutes
  • Work for 25 minutes
  • Take a break for more than 30 minutes

I don’t like using my phone to time these things. It’s too easy for me to get distracted. I don’t like physical timers. I constantly look at them. Get an Echo Dot. Problem solved.

I’m Hungry

I’m eating a few more calories lately. Last week I was at 845cals / day. It didn’t help. Another helping of almonds this week to bring me up to about 1000 calories / day. Not entirely sure why I’m struggling with energy, but maybe this’ll help.

Lackluster

I dropped below 290 yesterday. But I’m out of memory milestones, so I don’t have a huge amount to look forward to. I think the next exciting number is 271.1. At that point, I’ll be 100 pounds down. The weight loss is slowing though, so that’s a ways off. Then, I suppose, 256 is the next obviously exciting number. We’re a long ways away though. Stupid boring numbers!

NaNoWriMo
